Eric Smith Bio Background and Experience…
Eric Smith grew up in central region of Michigan. Having graduated from high school in 1984 Eric accepted an athletic scholarship to play football at Bowling Green State University in Ohio. Eric earned a Bachelors degree in Business Administration during his 4 ½ years while playing football. Eric credits much of the success that he enjoys today to the leadership skills that he developed during his 4 years as a Quarterback on the football team. “Working with clients in the real estate arena is much like captaining a football team. There can be a lot of adversity that is encountered during a transaction. The key to success is to adapt and to persevere through difficult times and to keep everyone focused on the goal….keep everyone in the game moving forward together.” Eric enjoys the dynamic nature of real estate today...”no one deal is the same” says Eric, “it’s more important today than ever to work with someone who has experience, who can think creatively to solve problems and who has the resources to call on the right team of professionals to help you achieve your goals.”
In 1992, Eric moved to Redding to enjoy a warmer climate and to live in a place that offers a unique ‘quality of life’ that is hard to match throughout the country. Eric and his family enjoy much of the recreational opportunities that the area has to offer including, skiing, golfing, mountain biking, hiking and boating. “Northern California is a recreational Mecca….it’s one big playground, there is always something to do or somewhere to go to enjoy the outdoors”.
With over 17 years of professional sales experience and a Bachelors Degree in Business Administration and Marketing, Eric Smith understands the key ingredients that go into a successful business relationship. The foundation of his clients’ success is based on his advanced knowledge which has been gained through education and experience.
Because real estate today is so dynamic, Eric has designed a systematic approach to working with his clients which includes the following:
1. Understanding client wants and needs.
2. Finding solutions to acquisition or disposition of property based on careful analysis and extensive due diligence.
3. Successfully negotiating contracts while protecting client’s interest during and after the transaction.
4. Handling all aspects of the escrow including but not limited to reviewing the chain of title, understanding property boundaries, working with municipalities to understand easements as well as special conditions or requirements that may affect the property such as zoning requirements or special conditions required for improvement. Our services also include coordinating property inspections and negotiating any necessary repairs by utilizing a vast network of service providers.
5. Diligent follow up after the transaction to insure that our clients needs continue to be met as circumstances change.
